I recently received one of the nicest surprises of my life as an author. The Pastor of my church found out about my book, and he asked me if it would be OK if he sold it in the church bookstore.
Although my book is not a religious book, many of the strategies are based in foundational Biblical principles such as gratitude, kindness and giving, so I of course, felt honored that he would place my book in the church’ bookstore.
What really came a surprise was not only was the book made available in the church bookstore, but the Pastor actually promoted the book from the pulpit on Father’s Day. He even asked me to stand and be recognized. How cool is that?
I donated 10 copies of the book to the church, and they all sold out in one day. I even had members of the church come up and ask me to sign their copy. That was awesome. .
I’m still a little hesitant of sharing my book with people I actually know. I suffer from what is known as the “impostor syndrome,” – a psychological pattern in which people doubt their accomplishments and have a persistent, often internalized fear of being exposed as a fraud.
I’m working on that, however, and after seeing the positive response to my book at church, I am almost cured. : )
So, I’d like to give a special shout out of gratitude to my Pastor, Fred Rodriguez of Elsinore First Assembly for helping me share these strategies with the congregation.
You are a blessing.
I am so excited to announce that my book, Living Happier, is now available in Spanish.
The name of the Spanish version is, Vivir Más Feliz.
Although I am proud to say that I am bilingual, I am absolutely not fluent enough to translate the book accurately into Spanish.
Thankfully, I found someone online who lives in Venezuela who would translate it for me.
It is my hope that the strategies in this book will help even more people live happier.
